Five beautiful puppies arrived in the wee small hours of Sunday morning. They are adorable. There are two dark brindle (almost black) with white patches on the chest, and a white strip between the eyes - very striking markings. And the other three are a light colour, almost silver, with a darker strip down the middle of their backs, a bit like a racoon, they look quite distinctive. There are three girls and two boys. Taylor (and I) haven't had alot of sleep since their arrival. We have them in a special whelping box in the corner of the kitchen, and I have an airbed and I sleep on that beside them to make sure no-one is squashed through the night. You have no idea how noisy it is to sleep in the kitchen, damn fridge keeps on going, and then as I am just about to sleep Taylor will start to snore! And talk about LOUD. Bulldogs snore, let me tell you that right now, they snore, and they snore loudly. None of this gentle stuff, we are talking window rattling snoring (or was that an earthquake?). Or else she will decide at 3.00 am that she is going to clean them. We have the cleanest puppies in all of New Zealand. She cleans, and she cleans, until about 4.45 am when I have had enough of listening to this (because she ain't quiet about that either) and I growl at her to settle down to go to sleep. So it is a busy and tiring time. Will get back to you soon. Ali.
